Into Each Heart Some Water Falls
The quiet town of Pirenópolis
Pirenópolis is a typical town of the Brazilian interior, in the central state of Goiàs. Some 21,000 people are living here and there are some pretty buildings. The town got its name from the surrounding Serra dos Pireneus, though the hills have little in common with the European Pyrenees. It was just a name given to fight homesickness... What these hills harbour though, are some nice waterfalls...
Waterfalls around Pirenópolis
There are many waterfalls around Pirenópolis. Some are on private lands and you have to pay to visit them. We followed a hiking trail along a string of smaller falls, most of them inside the forest.
